The Riverside Residence is located in the centre of Flachau and is the direct starting point for a number of hikes of varying difficulty.

High Rope Course in Flachau – it’s tops

In Flachau there are two high rope courses. High above the ground, your skills concentration and endurance will be put to the test. The fun factor increases every time you overcome obstacles. Every initial timid move will lead you to become a little bolder. Careful guides will look after you and ensure your safety.

Playing a few rounds at the Golf Club Radstadt

Just 10 kilometres away from the Riverside Residence in Flachau is the Tauern Golf Course in Radstadt.

Here you can enjoy a superbly maintained 18-hole championship course with a 9-hole compact course, surrounded by impressive mountains, between forests with a medieval city panorama. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, you can enjoy playing golf with friends in an alpine environment.

Unique in the world, is the golf gondola ‘Birdie Jet’. From the 11th green you can hover for 250 metres up to the 12th hole. From there, you can hit your ball over more than 100 metres– an unforgettable experience!

Not only the uniqueness of the ‘Birdie Jet’ will inspire you. Fascination Golf on hole 13 at an altitude of 1000 metres. You can admire the fabulous view of the square from the island green, and the imposing peaks of the Dachstein massif. With reason this is regarded as one of the most beautiful par 4 courses in Austria.

Time for a cool dip

On a hot summer’s day, there is nothing better than a dip in one of the two cool natural lakes in Flachau. With the sun shining down from a bright blue sky, the refreshing waters are a treat for body, heart and soul. The best kind of summer feeling. The lush green lawns with their shady trees beckon you to take a break and relax. For younger water rascals there is a great playground near the lake in Reitdorf and also one at Lake Flachauwinkl. A day of swimming will be a big hit for both young and old. And the best part is that swimming in the two Flachau lakes is free.

Therme Amadé – fun, spa facilities and relaxation

The Amadé Spa in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, in the neighbouring village of Flachau, is a special treat for young and old. Covering an area of about 30,000 square metres, you will find here everything from bathing fun to sheer relaxation. Everything your heart desires. 60% of the water areas are indoors, 40% are in the open air. The two large outdoor pools can be reached via a swimming canal from the inner area. The water is kept at a pleasantly warm temperature, and they are open throughout the year.
